Patriots take three-game lead to Miami

The New England Patriots travel to South Florida next weekend with a five-game winning streak and the opportunity to increase their lead in the AFC East to four games.

This after embarrassing the New York Jets at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ on Thanksgiving Day. The Patriots took advantage of five Jets turnovers to rout their Division rival 49-19 and maintained their lead over the Miami Dolphins. Tom Brady threw three more touchdowns without a pick and now has 24 on the season, last throwing an interception in the Patriots' loss to Seattle.

Dan Carpenter celebrated his 27th birthday with the winning field goal as time expired in the Dolphins' 24-21 victory over the visiting Seattle Seahawks at Sun Life Stadium. The win snapped Miami's three-game losing streak with rookie Ryan Tannehill completing 18-of-26 for 253 yards and one score.

The New York Jets have what on the surface appears to be an easy schedule the rest of the way, playing the Arizona Cardinals at home next Sunday before games against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, San Diego Chargers and Buffalo Bills. Realistically head coach Rex Ryan has to win four of those games to stay in charge of the Jets and even then upper management may decide to move on from what has become an ongoing circus.

Like the Jets the Buffalo Bills are 4-7 and are having a disappointing season after splashing out in free agency. After Sunday's loss in Indianapolis the Bills return home for three straight games hosting the Jaguars next week followed by the St. Louis Rams and the Seahawks.

The Patriots are 1/1000 to win the AFC East while the Dolphins are 50/1 and the Bills are 150/1
