The Los Angeles Lakers play the Detroit Pistons on Sunday evening without Steve Nash after it was learned the veteran has a broken bone in his leg.

It’s not a major injury, but already 0-3 with it appears major chemistry issues, LA can ill afford any more down time as they look to rebound from their poor start.

Monday evening the Los Angeles Clippers host the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Staples Center.

The Clips are 2-1 and lead the Pacific Division with the Golden State Warriors in the early going after the Warriors headed down to the southland and surprised LA 114-110.

Jamal Crawford led the Clippers once again, this time scoring 27 points for a game-high along with Chris Paul.

Stephen Curry and Carl Landry each dropped in 23 points for the visitors who had eight players score eight points or more.

Also scoring 27 points was LaMarcus Aldridge of the Portland Trail Blazers who went to overtime to defeat the Rockets 95-85 at the Toyota Center in Houston.

Rookie Damian Lillard who accidently caused Nash’s victory when the Trail Blazers defeated LA last week, fell one assist short of a double-double, pouring in 20 points on 8-of-15 shooting including 3-of-6 from downtown.

Portland heads to the American Airlines Center in Dallas to play the Mavericks on Monday before hosting the Clippers at the Rose garden later in the week.

James Harden who had looked so good in Houston?s first couple of games, hit just 8-of-24 from the field in defeat, but again there were encouraging signs for the Rockets as Omer Asik pulled down 15 boards.

The Lakers are 10000/1 to win the NBA Championship, with Detroit 10000/1.
