Heat welcome in Wizards
The Miami Heat will look to bounce back from their defeat to the Golden State Warriors when they entertain the Washington Wizards at the American Airlines Arena.
Leading the Southeast Division a full 11 games ahead of the visitors, Miami, 3/4 to win the NBA Championship, made the mistake of overlooking the Wizards when these two sides met 11 days ago and the result was a stunning 105-101 win for the home side at the Verizon Center in Washington.
Since that victory the Wizards have won just once more over the New Orleans Hornets and anything other than a complete crushing by the reigning NBA champions would be a shocker.
Keeping pace with the Heat are the Atlanta Hawks, 7500/1 to win this season's NBA Championship, who face a tricky game against the Golden State Warriors on Saturday evening. Atlanta have won two straight and the Heat and Hawks are six games ahead of the Orlando Magic in a weak Division.
Quietly coming into form are the Minnesota Timberwolves as their stars return from injury. Second in the Northwest Division behind the Oklahoma City Thunder after a 113-102 defeat of the Hornets in New Orleans on Friday, the Timberwolves are expected to have Ricky Rubio back in action on Saturday when they host the Dallas Mavericks at the Target Center in Minneapolis.
Oklahoma City won their tenth in a row on Friday with a 113-103 victory over the visiting Sacramento Kings and now take the weekend off before the visit of the San Antonio Spurs to the Chesapeake Energy Arena on Monday.
