Central Division leaders continue road swing

The Chicago Bulls are in Brooklyn on Friday evening to take on the Nets at the Barclays Center in the second game of their six-game road trip.

Leading the Indiana Pacers by a game and a half in the Division the Bulls are just a game behind the New York Knicks in the pursuit of the second seed in the Eastern Conference.

The Bulls are 9/5 to beat the Nets on Friday, with the home team 20/23 for the win on the money line.

On Saturday Chicago continues on to Atlanta and then visits Indiana, Denver and Utah before returning home on the 11th of the month to host the San Antonio Spurs.

Somewhere in that run All-Star point guard Derrick Rose is expected to return for the first time since his ACL injury suffered last April.

While it is possible that the former MVP will be held out until after the All-Star break it would make more sense to run him out for a couple of games prior to the mid season break to take advantage of the further rest after testing his surgically repaired knee for the first time.

Just up the road at Madison Square Garden the Knicks are also in action when the Milwaukee Bucks come into town.

The visitors 24-20 record is a perfect split of 12-10 both home and away and Milwaukee remains just one of four sides in the Conference with a winning road mark.

Third in the Central Division behind the Bulls and Pacers, the Bucks appear locked into the seventh seed in the East despite there being a little under half a season remaining.
