The Boston Red Sox make up Friday's postponed game against the visiting Kansas City Royals with a double-header at Fenway Park on Sunday.

Clay Bucholz's Red Sox face Kansas.

Saturday the Red Sox rallied for a 4-3 victory on a Daniel Nava three-run shot in the eighth to make a winner out of Clay Buchholz (4-0).

The 28-year old right-hander went eight innings for Boston allowing two runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out six before handing over to Andrew Bailey in the ninth.

Bailey picked up his third save of the season despite giving up a solo shot to Royals' center fielder Lorenzo Cain who was 4-for-4 on the afternoon to raise his average to .392.

Ryan Dempster, who struck out 10 over seven innings last time out without picking up the decision, gets the call in the opener and the Royals will counter with Ervin Santana.

The Texas Rangers moved to within a half game of the American League West Division leading Oakland Athletics on Saturday following a 5-0 win over the visiting Seattle Mariners at the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.

Texas rookie starting pitcher Nick Tepesch left the game with an injury in the second inning, but Derek Lowe (1-0) in relief did not allow a hit as the Rangers bullpen helped the hosts blank the Mariners for the second consecutive day.

Justin Grimm will be on the mound for Texas on Sunday afternoon in the finale of the three-game series and veteran Aaron Harang heads to the hill for Seattle.

The Red Sox are 5/7 to win the World Series, with the Royals 500/1 .
