Nadal - Murray can be number one

Rafael Nadal believes only the mental side of his game is preventing Andy Murray from reaching the pinnacle of mens' tennis.

Murray battled back from a set down against Novak Djokovic in the semi-final of the Australian Open to lead two sets to one, but couldn't make the final breakthrough and eventually lost in five sets in just under five hours. The defending champion is now 4/6 to retain his crown.

He (Andy Murray) can be number one at the end of the season.

Nadal, who can be backed at 13/10 to defeat Djokovic on Sunday, says Murray has the ability to break his Grand Slam duck.

"He can be number one at the end of the season," said the Spaniard.

"When you are able to play five grand slams in a row playing semi-finals or finals, it's only a mental thing.

"He lost another very good opportunity (against Djokovic), in my opinion."

Murray has made the at least the semi-finals of the last five Grand Slam tournaments. He is 1/4 to win no Grand Slams in 2012, 33/1 to win two and 150/1 to win three.
