Everton boss Roberto Martinez says his side will not underestimate the threat posed by Europa League opponents FC Krasnodar.
The Toffees have made a long trip to Russia shorn of a number of first-team regulars, with Maetinez aware that football in Russia is currently in a strong position.
He told reporters: "When you come to an unknown environment like the one we have now, I think you can embrace it when you have a little bit of detail from some of the players.
"The word is that the Russian league is exciting, there is a lot of investment behind it and the teams are developing really strongly.
"We are not going to underestimate the game."
Everton opened their Group H campaign with a thumping 4-1 win at home to Wolfsburg, while Krasnodar earned a 1-1 draw in France against Lille.
Martinez has a large number of injury problems to deal with fir the clash in Russia, with Kevin Mirallas (hamstring), James McCarthy (leg) and Seamus Coleman (soft tissue) joining the absentee list.
The Toffees already have Sylvain Distin (rested), Steven Pienaar (quad), Ross Barkley and Arouna Kone (both knee) out of action.
Everton can be backed at 1/1 to win on Thursday evening, with the draw 1/1 and a Krasnodar victory 1/1.
