Ronny Deila expects his team to improve against Qarabag on Wednesday.

Manager Ronny Deila expects both Leigh Griffiths and Nir Bitton to feature in Celtic's Champions League qualifier against Qarabag on Wednesday.

The Scottish champions made a successful start to the defence of their title on Saturday as they beat Ross County 2-0, but Griffiths was forced off the pitch inside the first 18 minutes through injury while Bitton remained on the bench with an ankle problem.

Speaking about Griffiths, who had scored a fourth-minute penalty in the Scottish Premiership opener, Deila said: "I think it's just a knock in his calf and hopefully he will be ready for Wednesday."

Deila criticised Celtic's performance against Ross County, particularly in the second half, stressing that he believes his side will improve as the season progresses. He went on to say that "you are going to see a totally different team on Wednesday."

Celtic go into the tie against Qarabag in Azerbaijan defending a 1-0 lead following Dedryck Boyata's late winner in the first leg at Celtic Park last week.

The Scottish side are 6/5 to win the second leg, with Qarabag 23/10 to win and the draw 9/4. Meanwhile, Celtic are 1/10000 to win the Scottish Premiership crown this season.
