Jermain Defoe is an injury concern after picking up a knock in the win at West Brom.

Spurs defender Jan Vertonghen insists his side can "beat anybody" in the hunt for a top four finish.

The north Londoners are currently fourth in the Premier League table and can be backed at  to seal a top-four finish at the end of the campaign.

Spurs take on fellow Champions League chasers Arsenal and Liverpool at the start of March, and at the beginning of April they take on Chelsea and Everton.  These key fixtures are likely to be crucial in deciding whether or not Vertonghen's side secure a place in Europe’s top competition and the defender is confident that Spurs will achieve their goal.

The defender even has his sights set on finishing ahead of Chelsea, who are just one point clear of the White Hart Lane outfit.

"We will be happy with fourth place but we’re only one point behind Chelsea, so we have to aim as high as possible," he told the Evening Standard.

"We have a home game against Newcastle on Saturday, so why not? I've played against all the biggest teams in the League and we can beat anybody."

Spurs are unbeaten in their last nine Premier League fixtures but will face a big test against a resurgent Newcastle on Saturday.

Newcastle ended a five match winless run with a win over relegation candidates Aston Villa, before seeing off Chelsea last time out.

Spurs can be backed at 4/6 to take all three points in Saturday's early Premier League fixture.

Newcastle are 9/2 to grab a win on the road, and the draw is 31/10.
