QPR urged to keep Redknapp

Queens Park Rangers have been urged to keep the faith and retain the services of Harry Redknapp next season by former Loftus Road legend Rodney Marsh.

The Hoops are now staring relegation squarely in the face and are ten points behind fourth from bottom Aston Villa.

And the last rites could be administered this weekend if they fail to take maximum points at bottom club Reading, who will also join them in the Championship next year, barring a miracle.

If QPR do get relegated, it's not because of the last ten or 12 games or Harry Redknapp, who is a terrific boss.

QPR are 28/1 to win Sunday's match 3-0 with Andros Townsend available at 12/1 to open the scoring, while a 1-0 victory for Reading can be backed at 9/1.

Rangers will be forced to deal with the fall-out of a host of big-money signings poised for the exit door and coping with a massive wage bill. But they have been told they can't let Redknapp carry the can for poor results since his arrival during the second part of the season.

Marsh, now a media pundit, insists: "If QPR do get relegated, it's not because of the last ten or 12 games or Harry Redknapp.

"It's because of what they did last summer when they signed so many players that turned out not to be good enough. Harry is a terrific boss."
