Cardiff City have snapped up Rennes defender Kevin Theophile-Catherine, but remain in the hunt for another new signing to bolster their squad further.
The 23-year-old becomes the seventh new arrival for the Bluebirds since their promotion to the Premier League, with Gary Medel, Steven Caulker, Andreas Cornelius, John Brayford, Simon Moore and Maximiliano Amondarain already having linked up with Malky Mackay's men.

Mackay is delighted to have a deal for Theophile-Catherine done, but also confirmed that another signing or two would be ideal.
He said after a goalless draw at home to Everton: "He is a good defender, he is someone we have tracked over the last year in France.
"He is someone who has pace, is aggressive and has good experience in the French top division, so he is someone we feel will be a good addition to our squad.
"If there's something else that comes up over the next couple of days we'll work hard to try and do something.
"But like anything there's competition and the people we bring in have got to add to the squad."
Having taken four points from their opening three Premier League games, Cardiff are 1/1 to be relegated, with Swansea City 1/1 and Hull City 1/1.
