Former Arsenal captain Thierry Henry believes signing Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema could end the club's title famine.
The Gunners have not been crowned Premier League champions since May 2004 but there is renewed optimism at the Emirates this season following back-to-back FA Cup successes and a strong finish to last season.
Arsene Wenger's side began the new campaign by beating champions Chelsea in the Community Shield at Wembley last weekend and plenty pundits are talking up their title chances.
Henry believes his compatriot could complete the jigsaw for Wenger as he chases a fourth English title.

"Yes, Arsenal would win the league," Henry said when asked what impact Benzema would have at the club.
Henry said he believed Benzema could help Arsenal contend both domestically and for a first Champions League crown as he would offer something different to what is currently available.
"They need that type of striker who can be different to Olivier Giroud. Him alone as a striker all season, he is very good at what he does but you need to have that type of striker who can stretch a defence, a guy that can go in behind," Henry told Sky Sports.
Arsenal are 1/1 to win the title this season, with Chelsea 1/1 to retain their crown.
Theo Walcott is expected to lead the line in the Gunners curtain raiser against West Ham on Sunday but Henry doubts if he is the man bring the title back just yet.
"You still need to be brave enough to be in there, it's not only about going in behind," he said. "I think that Theo can but you need to give him some games to do that."
Walcott is 1/1 to score the first goal against West Ham on Sunday.
