Eddie Howe has continued to strengthen his Bournemouth squad in readiness for life in the Premier League by snapping up the Middlesbrough star Lee Tomlin.
The 26-year-old former Rushden & Diamonds and Peterborough United player moves to the Cherries for a transfer fee believed to be in the region of £3million.
Tomlin was Bournemouth's second capture of Tuesday as Max Gradel arrived at Dean Court earlier in the day.
Tomlin said: "I'm really excited. When I came here last season, everything about the club just blew me away. I was playing against them and thinking 'imagine if I played here'. I think the team's style of play will definitely suit me.

"Five years ago, I was playing Conference football. A year or two before that I was playing on loan at Brackley Town so I've played right at the bottom and now I'm at the top. This is where I want to be and this is why I've worked so hard."
Tomlin scored 11 goals in 56 Championship appearances for Boro following productive spells at both Rushden and Peterborough. He helped Middlesbrough reach last season's Championship play-off final where they were beaten by Norwich City.
The Cherries start the season with a home game against Aston Villa on Saturday and can be backed at 1/1 to beat Tim Sherwood's side 2-1.
They are 1/1 to be relegated from the Premier League this season, while they are 1/1 to stay up.
