Aguero injury fears ease

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero will be fit and ready to take on Swansea City on Sunday after an injury false alarm on Wednesday.

The Argentina international took his overall tally for the season to 16 goals with a penalty in the 4-2 Champions League victory over Viktoria Plzen.

But there was plenty of nervousness inside the Etihad Stadium when Aguero appeared to hobble away at half-time and failed to show after the restart.

One of the most important things to be an attacking team is also to know how to defend well.

Manuel Pellegrini

City boss Manuel Pellegrini, however, later confirmed the 25-year-old was not carrying an injury and the plan was always for him to get 45 minutes under his belt.

Aguero will certainly be desperate to keep up his incredible scoring run when the Swans visit. Aguero is 11/4 to open the scoring against Michael Laudrup's side while City can be backed at 10/11 to keep a clean sheet against Swansea.

Pellegrini has warned his team they must also consider the amount of chances they are gifting to opponents at the other end of the pitch, due to their attacking nature.

The City chief insists: "We can attack and we can score four goals without giving so many chances that we did to Plzen in defending.

"One of the most important things to be an attacking team is also to know how to defend well."

Manchester City are now 1/50 to win the Premier League title outright and 1212/1 to clinch the Champions League for the first time in their history.
