Real Madrid central defender Sergio Ramos claims they must try and keep hold of top spot in La Liga following their 5-1 win against Rayo Vallecano.
The Spain international scored his 50th goal for the European champions on Saturday night, while the fit-again Gareth Bale was also on target along with Cristiano Ronaldo, Toni Kroos and Karim Benzema as Carlo Ancelotti's men will go into the two-week international break leading the table.

Real Madrid have recorded eight successive wins to go top and Ramos is determined that the side maintain this exceptional form when the action returns in a fortnight's time.
He told the club's official website: "The team played a great match, a complete performance. We can't win by big margins all the time but it is good to get results like this and rack up such a positive goal-scoring streak.
"With all the hard work to move top of the table we have to know how to hold on to this position, at the end of the La Liga season everything counts, including the goal difference. Notching up 50 goals for Real Madrid is a source of great pride on a personal level."
Ramos added: "The most important thing was beating Rayo in order to keep our spirits high. We have to keep up this form when we return from the international break. It's never a bad thing to meet up with your national team as long as none of the players pick up injuries."
Real are 1/1 to win La Liga this season, while they can be backed at 1/1 to retain their Champions League title.
