Cesc Fabregas gives Barcelona "a lot of options" according to Gerardo Martino.

Barcelona coach Gerardo Martino was pleased with his side's win over Levante at the weekend and praised midfielder Cesc Fabregas.

The Catalan giants brushed Levante aside 7-0 at Camp Nou on Sunday, with Fabregas playing a key role in five of the home side's goals.

Martino revealed he was "satisfied" with the victory and reserved specific praise for Fabregas, although he feels his side can still get better in attack.

Fabregas has been the subject of interest from Manchester United this summer but the former Arsenal midfielder rejected the advances of the Premier League champions to remain with Barcelona, and Martino expects him to play a key role this season.

"Cesc had a good pre-season, he's doing great and gives us a lot of options," he told reporters at a press conference on Monday.

"How to improve? We can be more intense and press for a longer time. We can have more options in attack and know when to use them.

"I was eager for La Liga to start to see how the team was doing and I'm satisfied."

Barca are 4/5 to win the La Liga title in 2013/14, with Real Madrid priced at 50/1.
