Centurion Lampard ready for Ukraine test

Frank Lampard is targeting a win in the Ukraine on Tuesday to put England's destiny in their own hands heading into the last two World Cup qualifiers.

Going into the last three matches of the qualification campaign, the Three Lions are currently top of Group H on goal difference after Friday's 4-0 win over Moldova.

Montenegro are also on 15 points but have played a game more and still have to play England at Wembley before the group winners are decided.

Tuesday's opponents Ukraine are firmly in the hunt for a place at next year's World Cup as well, moving to within a point of Montenegro on Friday with a 9-0 demolition of San Marino.

The Ukrainians are desperate for the win which would see them go two points clear of their rivals in the group  and will be motivated by revenge when they face England, who are 1/1 to win the group, in Kiev.

While the first meeting between the two in the qualification campaign ended 1-1, England came out on top when the two teams last met on Ukrainian soil at Euro 2012, beating the hosts 1-0 in Kiev.

Lampard, who will earn his 100th cap for the national side if selected, admits he is wary of the threat posed by Ukraine and believes the Three Lions will have to improve on recent showings to come away with a vital win.

"They had a bad start to the group but against us they played with a lot of talent, they have a lot of technical ability and pace on the wings," said Lampard.

"I don't think we were at our best that night but to not lose when you're not at your best is a good thing.

"We'll go there conscious they're a strong team but confident in our own abilities. We've got the team to get a result, no doubt."

England will be without Danny Welbeck, Daniel Sturridge and Wayne Rooney on Tuesday but is hopeful they can cope without the attacking trio.

"It's a big blow. He's started the season well and he's a very talented player," said Lampard of Welbeck.

"With Theo Walcott, Raheem Sterling, Ashley Young and James Milner, we've got a lot of depth on the wings."

England are 1/1 to pick up three points on their travels, while Ukraine are 1/1 for the win.
