Freedman prepared for busy summer

Dougie Freedman admits it will be difficult to attract high-quality players to Nottingham Forest this summer.

Forest are currently under a transfer embargo and so will be limited to free transfers and loan signings.

However, former Crystal Palace and Bolton Wanderers boss Freedman hopes that good training methods and knowledgeable coaches will tip the balance in their favour.

You have to persuade players to come for the right reasons, not just for money.

Dougie Freedman

Freedman said: "I want a player who can contribute to the style we play but we will be vulnerable to other clubs coming in, knowing that we can only offer a certain amount of money.

"But say you want a right-back. There might only be three clubs who want a right-back. We know the structure here, we know what we can pay - so it will boil down to a question of do they want to come or don't they?

"Your training methods can help. You have to persuade players to come for the right reasons, not just for money."

Meanwhile, Middlesbrough can be backed at 1/1 be promoted from the Championship this season, while Brentford are available at 1/1 to go up, Ipswich Town at 1/1 and Norwich City at 1/1.
