Two new faces in Australia squad
Australia have named uncapped NSW all-rounder Moises Henriques and Victorian spinner Glenn Maxwell in their 17-man squad for the tour of India.
The squad sees the recalls of Usman Khawaja, Steve Smith and Xavier Doherty, while David Warner is named despite having a fractured thumb.
National selector John Inverarity said the squad had plenty of options, with Maxwell and Doherty able to back up the spin of Nathan Lyon. Warner has a minor fracture to his thumb, but is not an injury concern for the tour.
"This squad has the flexibility that will be required for the varying conditions expected in India and it will provide valuable experience to a number of young players," Inverarity said.
The squad has been picked to allow for a number of scenarios, with Henriques able to contribute with his medium-fast bowling.

Inverarity said Doherty deserved to win back his place, saying: "We certainly feel he is much improved in the longer format of the game since he made his Test debut in 2010-11 against England. He adds further flexibility to the squad, depending on the conditions."
Doherty has a first-class bowling average of 44.78 and has picked up two wickets at 80 from four Sheffield Shield matches this season.
Henriques averages 30 with the bat and 27 with the ball after 38 first-class matches. His outstanding form in the Sheffield Shield this season has seen him score 385 runs at 77, and take 14 wickets at 18 in five matches.
The first Test begins in Chennai on 22nd February, and Inverarity said some players will travel to the sub-continent ahead of the main party, to give them chance to prepare for the conditions.
Australia are 8/15 to win the first ODI against the West Indies, who are priced at 6/4 to take a 1-0 lead in the series. Michael Clarke is 3/1 to be Australia's top run-scorer.
