The Los Angeles Kings will be at the BB & T Center in Sunrise on Friday when they take on the Florida Panthers in the opening contest of a seven-game road trip.
The match-up in South Florida is followed by games against the Tampa Bay Lightning, Carolina Hurricanes, Pittsburgh Penguins, Buffalo Sabres, Chicago Blackhawks and the Winnipeg Jets, before the Kings return late in the month to welcome in the Dallas Stars.
LA warmed up for the trip with a couple of comfortable victories, defeating the Arizona Coyotes 6-0 on Saturday and following that up with a 5-2 win over the Edmonton Oilers at the Staples Center on Wednesday.
It's only the second time all year that the Kings have scored five or more goals in successive victories.
Indeed defense is more the name of the game for LA, who lead the Western Conference in goals allowed and trail only the Boston Bruins in the whole of the NHL.
Paul LaDue recorded the winner against the Oilers on Wednesday, with Alex Iafallo and Anze Kopitar scoring into an empty net to pad the final scoreline.
The win moved the Kings into third place in the Pacific Division ahead of the Calgary Flames and the Anaheim Ducks, but trailing the Vegas Golden Knights and the San Jose Sharks.
The Golden Knights are the visitors to the Shark Tank in San Jose on Thursday, with both teams looking to bounce back from defeats earlier in the week - Vegas to the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Sharks to the Colorado Avalanche.
Vegas are 1/1000 to win the Pacific Division, with the Sharks 50/1 and the Kings 10000/1.
