Bethanie Mattek-Sands has indicated that she will return to singles action after an eight-month lay-off at the Miami Open later this month.
The 32-year-old suffered a serious knee injury at last year's Wimbledon tournament and is set to play in the doubles at the BNP Paribas Open next week before being involved in the singles in Miami.
The former world number 30 has not played since sustaining the horrific injury during a second-round match at SW19 against Sorana Cirstea.
Meanwhile, Julia Goerges has returned to training after picking up a hip injury last month.
The German was forced to retire from her quarter-final match against Petra Kvitova in Doha a fortnight ago, but wrote on Instagram: "My hip has recovered well so I can prepare the best I can for my upcoming trip to the US.
"I am very happy about it and really looking forward to competing in Indian Wells, Miami and Charleston."
On Sunday Stefanie Voegele will be involved in her first WTA final when she takes on defending champion Lesia Tsurenko at the Acapulco Open.
Voegele is 3/1 to win the match while Tsurenko can be backed at 1/1 to triumph.
