Petra Kvitova says she will head into her Qatar Open final with Garbine Muguruza full of confidence after defeating world number one Caroline Wozniacki.

Kvitova looked to be heading for defeat at a set and 3-1 down to Australian Open champion Wozniacki, before mounting a stirring comeback to secure a fourth successive win over the Dane.

It was great for my confidence turning the match around.

And, having claimed a 3-6 7-6 7-5 victory, Kvitova was looking forward to a meeting with Muguruza, who enjoyed a free ride into the final due to an injury to Simona Halep.

Two-time Wimbledon champion Kvitova said after a tense tussle: "She (Muguruza) had a day off today. Who knows if it's an advantage or not, but I had a great match.

"It was great for my confidence turning the match around.

"I don't know what happened at the start. I was a little crazy in my mind and I was playing everywhere and not to the court

"I tried to calm myself down a little bit in the second set and even though I was losing, I was trying to get back somehow. When I was down 3-1 I was really angry with myself and I tried to hit some winners."

Kvitova and Muguruza have met on four previous occasions, with the Czech left-hander 3-1 ahead in their head-to-head, having won all three of their most recent matches.

She is 8/13 to defeat Muguruza in the Qatar Open final and is 3/1 to do so in three sets, with Muguruza 11/2 to win the first set and lose the match.
