Hames rested for Perth trip
The Chiefs have rested prop Kane Hames for their Super Rugby cash with Western Force in Perth.
Hames is battling a shoulder problem, so Siegfried Fisi'ihoi has come into the side at loose head.
Assistant coach Neil Barnes says the Hamilton franchise don't want to risk one-Test All Black Hames.
"Kane's had a bit of a niggle for a while now and Ziggy has been playing well, so we've given him an opportunity to start," he said.
Shaun Stevenson comes into the side on the right flank in place of Toni Pulu, who is carrying a knee injury and is demoted to the reserves.
Hooker Brayden Mitchell keeps veteran Hika Elliot on the bench after impressing in the team's tour of South Africa when they lost to the Stormers and beat the Cheetahs.
Dominic Bird rekindles his partnership with Brodie Retallick in the second row, while Liam Messam will start this week at blindside flanker.
Barnes said the Chiefs would be going all out to finish the tour on a high.
"It would be a bit different if we were going well and there might have been a little complacency." he said. "But we haven't, so we're pretty driven to get things right."
The Chiefs are 1/7 to beat the Force, who are 9/2.
Meanwhile, the Rebels have named three debutants for their trip to Durban to face the Sharks.
Coach Tony McGahan has made five changes for the first of two games on South African soil.
Uncapped Will Miller will play at flanker, while hooker Siliva Siliva and back-rower Jake Schatz will make their first starts for the franchise.
Lopeti Timani (suspended), Dominic Day out injured and Colby Faing'a unavailable for personal reasons.
There are two uncapped players on the reserves bench with Rebels U20s lock Esei Haangana and Hugh Sinclair included.
