Ireland skipper Rory Best has revealed his delight after securing a new deal with the Irish Rugby Football Union until the 2019 World Cup in Japan.
The Ulster hooker will still be on a high after leading Ireland to just their third Grand Slam in their history by beating all before them in the Six Nations this year.
Now rewarded with a new deal, Best is looking forward to what the future holds as his formidable side look to build on their recent success going into the World Cup.
"I feel I can continue to make a contribution to both Ireland and Ulster Rugby," said Ireland captain Best.
"I'm delighted to have extended my contract to the next World Cup."
Meanwhile there was good news for two of Best's international team-mates, with Iain Henderson and Rob Kearney also signing new deals with the IRFU.
Full-back Kearney, like Best, has agreed a deal until the next World Cup, while talented lock Henderson has agreed a three-year extension to keep him at Ulster until at least the summer of 2021.
