Broncos power past Sharks
Centre Tautau Moga scored two second-half tries as Brisbane Broncos picked up a commanding 32-10 win over the Sharks at Suncorp Stadium.
Wayne Bennett's side picked up where they left off in last week's 54-0 thumping of the Titans as they made it four wins in five games.
Cronulla couldn't take advantage of the Broncos having Jordan Kahu sin-binned as by the time he went off their hopes had gone.
The visitors' only bright moments came when birthday boy Luke Lewis scored against the run of play in the final minute of the first half and when Gerard Beale took advantage of a Brisbane error with 10 minutes to play.
They'll want to forget most of the rest of the night, having made 16 errors, missed 54 tackles and completed only 58 per cent of their sets with the ball.
Sharks errors contributed to both Brisbane's first-half tries as Matt Gillett and Darius Boyd went over.
Centre Ricky Leutele raced out of the line and gave Kodi Nikorima the chance to put Gillett away in the fifth minute and after an error by Wade Graham on halfway, Nikorima's pass put Boyd on his way, the skipper pushing past three defenders to score in the 35th minute.
Cronulla reduced the deficit to eight points at the break when Lewis claimed a try on his 34th birthday.
The Broncos pushed their lead out to 14 points inside the first three minutes of the second half when Moga powered past opposite number Kurt Capewell to score his seventh try of the season.
Moga then scored an almost identical try on the hour mark to give the home side more daylight.
Four minutes later Anthony Milford stepped his way past a host of Sharks defenders before sending a cut-out pass to an unmarked Corey Oates on the left wing.
Meanwhile, Queensland are 11/10 to win the 2018 State of Origin series with NSW priced at 4/5.
