Arthur to face mid-season review
Coach Brad Arthur will have more time to make a case for a contract extension at Parramatta Eels, after the club opted to schedule a review for June.
The Eels were originally set to have quarterly reviews during the season, as they look for big improvements on the field after finishing bottom of the ladder last time.

That would have been especially tough on Arthur given that the team have five consecutive away games to start the campaign.
He will now have until the middle of the season to prove himself, which chief executive Bernie Gurr believes is fair.
"We are getting inquiries about Brad's contract situation and that is not unreasonable, so we've decided to put some time parameters around it," said Gurr. "We think June is a fair time for us to consider it; that gives Brad, the team and the coaching staff a reasonable time period to demonstrate improved performance from last year.
"It also demonstrates our support for Brad. We all want him and the players and the coaching staff to be successful."
The chief executive said he was pleased with the way things were improving at the club after they began implementing several recommendations following last season's review.
"I am happy with the new players we've brought in and I'm happy with what Brad and his staff have done through the off-season," he added. "There's a really good mood and as you know in footy clubs that is usually driven by the head coach."
The Eels, who started the campaign with a 20-12 win away to Penrith at the weekend, look set to sign hooker Matt McIlwrick later this week after he was released by South Sydney.
But they will be without centre Michael Jennings for Sunday's meeting with the Bulldogs after he entered an early guilty plea for a Grade Two - careless high tackle following the win over the Panthers.
Parramatta are 28/1 to win the grand final.
The Eels are 77/100 to win their next game against the Bulldogs, who are 11/10.
