Connections of Rocknroll Baby have confirmed their talented mare will target three Cups in a month following her latest success in the Prince Of Wales Kapunda Trotters Cup (2610m).

Having scored at Mount Gambier on the previous Saturday, Rocknroll Baby will now target the $8000 Port Pirie Trotters Cup (2530m) on Saturday, 24th March and hopefully complete the hat-trick.

"She has only been trotting for just over 12 months," trainer Greg Norman said. "She has had plenty of racing, and travelling, but has been getting better and better.

"Provided she pulls up okay, she will be off to Port Pirie."

As for her latest assignment, reinsman Jock Dunlop revealed he had to overcome a scare when the crupper used on the mare broke with a lap to go.

"She had every excuse to go into a gallop when that happened," Dunlop said. "I was certainly on edge for the last lap, but the mare was in a good rhythm and stayed trotting. She did a great job."

Despite the drama, Rocknroll Baby went on to score a five metre win from Bold Law which finished fast late with Truscott Law 1 1/2 metres away third.

It was an impressive performance and as long as Rocknroll Baby pulls up well, she will be heading to Port Pirie.
