Woods clings to Masters hope
Tiger Woods has confirmed he is doing all he can to be fit and ready in time for the Masters at Augusta next month.
The 41-year-old has endured a torrid time with back problems and continues to struggle despite having undergone surgery back in September 2015.
There were suggestions the 14-major champion would miss the 2017 Masters but Woods is determined to do everything in his power to make the prestigious event which starts on 6th April.
He told ABC: I'm trying. I'm trying everything I can do to be able to get back and play. I love that event, it's meant so much to me in my life. It has so much history and meaning to me that I'd love to get back there."
"I need to get back physically," he added. "I know that the mind is sharp, I just need to get the body willing to do it. That's the hard part, is getting the prep time in. I haven't been able to get as much prep time in, and I haven't been able to train like I used to or practice like I used to, so it's been harder."
