USA on course for big victory
Kevin Chappell was one of the USA's stars as the International team endured a difficult day in the Presidents Cup.
The US lead 8-2 at the halfway stage of the competition and seem certain to win the trophy for the seventh successive time.
Starting the day with a 3.5-1.5 advantage, the US won four out of five fourballs in New Jersey on Friday.
Adam Hadwin and Hideki Matsuyama halved with Patrick Reed and Jordan Spieth but Charley Hoffman and Chappell eased to a 6 & 5 victory over Charl Schwartzel and Anirban Lahiri.
"Kevin and I were biting at the bit to get out there and play," said Hoffman afterwards. "It gave us a little more fire and momentum going into today."
Rickie Fowler and Justin Thomas clinched a 3 & 2 win over South African pair Louis Oosthuizen and Branden Grace while Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka beat Jhonattan Vegas and Adam Scott 3 & 2.
Kevin Kisner and Phil Mickelson finished 1-up on Australian pair Marc Leishman and Jason Day.
The USA are 4/11 to be the winners of day four at the Presidents Cup.
