Wilshere urged to ink new deal
Arsene Wenger has indicated that he would be happy for Jack Wilshere to put pen to paper on a new contract at Arsenal as soon as possible.
The 26-year-old England international midfielder's current deal expires at the end of the season and he has been linked with a summer switch to Juventus.
"That decision doesn't depend only on me," Wenger said when asked whether he wanted Wilshere to stay with the Gunners. "I want him to sign very quickly.
"We are still to make the decision and find the pen somewhere. I'm happy to give him one."
Meanwhile, Wenger has confirmed that Aaron Ramsey will miss Thursday's Europa League last-32 second leg clash against Ostersunds FK but the Welshman could be available for Sunday's League Cup final against Manchester City at Wembley.
"Aaron's not in the squad. He had a good training session but he's a bit short for Thursday," Wenger added.
"We'll see how his evolution goes now from now until Sunday. I don't rule him out yet, it depends on how well he can improve with the intensity of training until Sunday.
"Alex Lacazette is doing well. I think he will be ahead of his planned recovery. It should be four weeks from now, maybe three-and-a-half weeks, so his response has been good.
"Danny Welbeck will start on Thursday as will [Henrikh] Mkhitaryan."
Welbeck is 5/6 to score at any time against Ostersunds FK while Mkhitaryan can be backed at 11/10. Arsenal are 3/1 to win the Europa League outright.
