Manchester City defender Nicolas Otamendi believes the return from injury of David Silva, Fabian Delph and Leroy Sane will be crucial in Basel on Tuesday.
City have managed to remain on course to win four trophies this season despite a lengthy injury list which has also included Gabriel Jesus and Benjamin Mendy, who are also making good progress from their problems.
Silva, Delph and Sane are all in the squad that have travelled to Switzerland for the Champions League last-16 first-leg clash against Basel.
Raphael Wicky's team thrashed Benfica 5-0 during the group stage of the competition before Christmas and also beat Manchester United at St Jakob-Park.
They have won the last eight Swiss Super League titles but are struggling to make it nine in a row and lost 1-0 at home to Lugano earlier this month.
"It's important to work well as a team and focus on getting a result there," said Otamendi, who has enjoyed a fine season after being criticised for some high-profile-errors last term.
"We need our injured players to come back and hopefully several of them will be fit for this game.
"It's important to have the full squad ready for all the games to come. We play in three different competitions over the next fortnight and they are all important to us - we need to have the right mind-set for each of them.
"The rest we had prior to the Leicester game was helpful. When you don't play midweek, you have more time to recover physically and to prepare mentally for the next games."
City can be backed at 1/3 to beat Basel and are 5/6 to keep a clean sheet in the match. Pep Guardiola's team are 1212/1 to win the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup this season.
