De Gea to start against Basel
Jose Mourinho has revealed that David De Gea will start on Tuesday when Manchester United face Basel at Old Trafford in the Champions League.
Mourinho has indicated that the Spanish shot-stopper will play in all United's games this season after using Sergio Romero for cup matches last term.
Eric Bailly and Phil Jones are suspended, so Chris Smalling will partner Victor Lindelof in central defence against the Swiss side while Marouane Fellaini is a doubt for the match as he was unable to train on Sunday.
"I think at this moment David [De Gea] is playing very well and is very confident. I will go with David tomorrow again," confirmed Mourinho.
"Fellaini didn't train yesterday [because of a calf injury]. Let's see if he can today. He's more important to me than you can imagine.
"I don't think Bailly and Jones are better than Smalling and Lindelof. They are on the same level, just different players.
"I think it is easier for Lindelof to play in the Champions League. No need to adapt, but he needs a little bit of time to adapt to the Premier League."
United, 12121/1 to win the Champions League outright, can be backed at 17/2 to beat Basel 2-1 on Tuesday while Fellaini is 11/4 to score at any time in the match.
