Chelsea handed tough Barca tie

Chelsea have been drawn to face Barcelona in the last-16 of the Champions League, but Manchester City have a favourable tie against Basel.

Antonio Conte's men finished second in Group C despite finishing level on points with Roma and will possibly rue their failure to defeat Atletico Madrid at Stamford Bridge in the final game last week after being handed a tough two-legged draw against Barca.

The first leg will be played at Stamford Bridge on the week of the 13th/14th February or 20th/21st February and the second leg will be held at the Camp Nou on the week of the 6th/7th March or 13th/14th March.

Premier League leaders Manchester City have been handed a great chance to progress to the quarter-finals after being paired with Swiss side Basel, who finished second behind Manchester United in Group A.

Pep Guardiola's men will be away in the first leg, where United were defeated 1-0 in the group stage, and then have home advantage at the Etihad Stadium for the second leg.

Tottenham's 'reward' for finishing ahead of Real Madrid to win Group H is a difficult test against last season's finalists Juventus.

Spurs are in Turin for the first leg and will then look to overcome the reigning Italian champions at Wembley in the return fixture.

Jose Mourinho's Manchester United have a tricky test against Spanish La Liga side Sevilla, while Liverpool have been drawn to face Portuguese side Porto.

And as both teams were group winners they will also be at Old Trafford and Anfield respectively for their second legs.

The tie of the last-16 sees reigning European champions Real Madrid face big-spending Paris Saint-Germain with the Spanish champions having to travel to the French capital for the deciding second leg.

Elsewhere and Roma, who topped Chelsea's group, will face Shakhtar Donetsk and German giants Bayern Munich will go up against Turkish side Besiktas.

Manchester City are 10/3 to win the Champions League, Manchester United are 20/1, Liverpool are priced at 9/1, Spurs are 12/1 and Chelsea are available at 33/1.

Champions League last-16 draw:

Juventus v Tottenham
Basel v Man City
Porto v Liverpool
Sevilla v Man Utd
Real Madrid v Paris St-Germain
Shakhtar v Roma
Chelsea v Barcelona
Bayern v Besiktas
