Pioli targets notable double
Inter Milan coach Stefano Pioli is confident that his revitalised side can open up the Serie A title race by beating Juventus on Sunday.
The Nerazzurri started the season appallingly but last weekend's 3-0 victory against Pescara was their seventh win in a row and lifted them up to fourth in the Serie A table.
Their recent form is in sharp contrast to their early-season travails when they lost five of their first 11 matches, including a sequence of four losses in five games.
Despite their problems in the first three months of the campaign, Inter did beat Juventus 2-1 in September and Pioli is keen to complete a notable double.
"Juventus are a great team but if anyone can cause them problems it is us. We will try to outdo them," he said.
"The game is worth three points like any other, but we know how much it means beyond that. We have prepared well for it. The players have looked even more determined and focused the last few days. They know how important this game is.
"We must get our approach nailed. We will go out there and give it everything we have got to try and win. We must be compact and careful about every little detail.
"It is important to maintain our balance. We need to perform as a team. When we play at a high tempo we can give anyone a game."
Inter can be backed at 5/1 to win the match while a Juve victory is available at 8/13.
