Roma are fortunate to have a 'complete striker' in the shape of Edin Dzeko, according to his Giallorossi team-mate Radja Nainggolan.

The 30-year-old Bosnia-Herzegovina international moved to the Stadio Olimpico in the summer of 2015, joining from Manchester City for a fee of around £10million.

When you have Dzeko in your team, you play with the knowledge that even a small chance could result in a goal.

He first season in Italy was disappointing as he found the net ten times, but his second campaign in Rome has proved to be a lot different, with Dzeko having already found the net 29 times in all competitions.

And, with his colleague the joint topscorer in both Serie A and the Europa League, midfielder Nainggolan is well aware of the importance of Dzeko to Roma.

He told the official UEFA website: "No-one had any doubts about him. Last year he didn't score like this year, but playing in Italy isn't easy. We all knew we had a great striker.

"Last year he was unlucky, he didn't have a proper pre-season which was his biggest problem.

"He's so important for us, he knows how to hold (the ball) up and he's good technically, he moves the ball well. He's the complete striker and I'm happy to play with him.

Roma remain in the hunt for three trophies this season, lying second in Serie A behind Juventus, while they are through to the last-16 of the Europa League, where they face French side Lyon.

In the Coppa Italia they take on city rivals Lazio in the semi-finals, with the first leg taking place on Wednesday.

Roma can be backed at 6/1 to lift the Coppa Italia and are 1212/1 to triumph in the Europa League, with Dzeko available at 5/2 to be topscorer in Serie A come the end of the season.
