Walcott expects Allardyce to turn fortunes around
Everton forward Theo Walcott believes manager Sam Allardyce is the man to turn the club's fortunes around following a difficult spell.
One win in their last eight games means the Merseysiders are once again looking over their shoulders at the battle to avoid the drop.
Everton do have a seven-point cushion over 18th place but continuing their current form would see them dragged back into a relegation dogfight at the business end of the season.
Having suffered a 5-1 defeat at the hands of Arsenal at the weekend, Walcott is determined to see his side get back to winning ways and the England international feels Allardyce is the man to help them achieve that.
"Results will change, I am sure of it," he told the club's website. "We need to make sure we are ready and focused for the weekend because we need to start getting some more points in order to be more comfortable."
He added: "Sam was one of the main reasons why I came to the club. I wanted a manager like that who could get the best out of me.
"He is eager to turn results around. There have been a few recent results like getting the draw against West Brom and then beating Leicester where we have seen improved performances but I have come here to push Everton on.
"I want to improve the team and anything I can do to help, I will do so."
Everton are 11/10 to win, 23/10 to draw and 3/1 to lose to Crystal Palace on Saturday in their next Premier League outing.
