Huddersfield Town head coach David Wagner feels his side can take plenty of positives from their 2-0 FA Cup fifth round defeat at the hands of Manchester United.

The Terriers were beaten at the John Smith's Stadium by two goals from Romelu Lukaku, but Wagner was upbeat after what he felt was a strong performance from his side, who face a key Premier League showdown with West Brom next weekend.

We are in a very good moment, even if we lost.

He told BBC Sport: "The players were brilliant, they played well. They maybe controlled the game, but two times top, top quality means you have lost the game.

"I am delighted about the whole performance over 90 minutes. The players never gave up, they always tried, we wanted to press them and be in their face.

"This is another game which gives the dressing room a lift. A great performance against Manchester United and we will always be focused on our performances. We are in a very good moment, even if we lost.

"Next we have West Brom and we will try everything to perform like we have here. The biggest problem for the players is they have shown the performance bar that we like to confirm every single game."

Town won 4-1 at home to Bournemouth last time out in the league, ending a winless run which stretched back to a victory by the same scoreline at Watford just over a week before Christmas.

The Terriers are 4/1 to take all three points at The Hawthorns next weekend, with the draw available at 5/2, while Huddersfield are 4/7 not to be relegated come the end of the season.
