Starlet excited by Palace chance
Ruben Loftus-Cheek says he is looking forward to the chance to impress at Crystal Palace after completing his season-long loan move from Chelsea.
The England Under-21 international only managed six appearances off the bench at the Blues in the Premier League last term under manager Antonio Conte.
Chelsea are still thought to rate the 21-year-old midfielder highly and now Loftus-Cheek has been sent out on loan to continue his development in the top flight.
Having agreed a switch across the capital to Selhurst Park, Loftus-Cheek is looking forward to getting started at the Eagles under their new manager Frank de Boer.
He told the club's official website: "I had the option of coming to Palace and I thought that it would be great for me.
"I live not too far away, I was born in Lewisham and Palace is good club so I thought it's a good chance to play here and be a part of the team. They have a very strong team and I'd like to be a part of that this season."
Loftus-Cheek will be hoping he can earn himself a starting role in Palace's opening game of the Premier League season when they host newcomers Huddersfield Town on 12th August.
Palace are 5/6 to win, 13/5 to draw and 4/1 to lose against the Terriers.
