Sanchez still waiting to see

Arsenal striker Alexis Sanchez says he and his club will make a decision on his future only after the season is over for the Gunners.

The 28-year-old Chile international is out of contract at the Emirates Stadium at the end of next season, with talks over a new deal having been put on hold for the time being.

As I always say, it doesn't depend on me. It depends on the club.

And he was giving little away, apart from that talks will resume after the campaign is over, with the Gunners still chasing a top-four Premier League finish and also having an FA Cup final against Chelsea to look forward to.

Sanchez told The Mirror: "I cannot tell you now, we have to wait until the end of the season.

"As I always say, it doesn't depend on me. It depends on the club. What they like, what they don't like.

"I always said the same - I try to do my best, to support the team, to score goals, to win victories. And we will see at the end."

Former Barcelona ace Sanchez has 23 Premier League goals to his name this season, one less than Everton star Romelu Lukaku.

He can be backed at 33/1 to be the top scorer in the Premier League when the season ends on Sunday, with Lukaku 16/1 and Spurs' Harry Kane 1/16.

Meanwhile, Sanchez has admitted that his sometimes very visible frustration on the pitch stems from seeing the Gunners fail to mount a title challenge this season.

He added: "I've always said we have great players here, it's just about having the mentality of being a great player and going out on to the pitch already thinking about winning.

"Sometimes the frustration more than anything is about the fact we could be challenging for the Premier League title."
