Ranieri urges duo response

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has urged star duo Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez to find their best form ahead of the showdown with Swansea City on Sunday.

The pair have failed to reach the heights of last season as they managed to shock all to win the Premier League title.

However the duo have struggled like the rest of their team-mates at the King Power Stadium to rekindle that form this term and the club now sit one point above the relegation zone going into the weekend's games.

Ranieri knows Swansea will be a tough proposition and has urged Vardy and Mahrez to get back to their best to help the Foxes move away from their precarious position above the relegation zone.

He said: "Swansea are a very good team. They move the ball quickly. For us it's very important to play with the brain and our quality.
"I have spoken with Riyad (Mahrez) and I have spoken with Jamie (Vardy) and we know (what they need to do).

"They link together well. If you see how many goals they scored and how many passes they made last season - but this time no.

"I say to Riyad, 'come back to last season, come back'. He is trying and he is positive and I am very happy when he is positive."

Leicester are 21/10 to win, 23/10 to draw and 6/4 to lose to the Swans on Sunday.
