Pulis accepts Baggies pressure
Tony Pulis is well aware that he needs to help his West Brom outfit get back to winning ways in the near future to avoid further questions about his future at The Hawthorns.
The Baggies suffered a 1-0 defeat at Huddersfield Town on Saturday, a result which left them down in 15th place in the Premier League standings and without a win in their last nine league games.
We are in the results business and these results mean there's some pressure on me.Tony Pulis
And the vastly-experienced Pulis accepted that he will come under pressure if results do not improve in the near future, with the Albion head coach more than ready to face the music.
A realistic Pulis told BBC Radio WM: "If you're on the run we're on, I don't care which club you're at, you're going to get stick and you have to take it.
"It's not the first time it's happened to me as a manager, but my main concern is with the players. I want to protect them so they can just go out and play and give everything in every game.
"I'm not stupid enough to think you can get away with losing every week. We are in the results business and these results mean there's some pressure on me."
The Baggies return to action after the international break with a visit from champions Chelsea on Saturday 18th November.
Last season the Blues won both meetings with Albion by a 1-0 scoreline, with Michy Batshuayi netting the only goal of the game at The Hawthorns to clinch the title for the Londoners.
Chelsea are 11/2 to claim a 1-0 victory again a week on Saturday, with an Albion win priced at 6/1 and a goalless draw available at 17/2.
