Mourinho dismisses critics

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho says he has no interest if critics question whether his side deserved their 2-1 victory over Liverpool on Saturday.

The Red Devils took a big step in their bid to finish second in the Premier League this season after they managed to secure the bragging rights against their old rivals at Old Trafford.

A brace from Marcus Rashford ensured the hosts picked up all three points and now attentions swiftly turn to European matters next week.

United, who are now five points clear of third-place Liverpool in the table, are next in action on Tuesday night when they play host to Sevilla in the first-leg of their Champions League last 16 tie.

Mourinho says he was delighted with his team’s victory against the Reds and says he has no interest in what the critics say.

"It was a complete performance by us with two different halves," Mourinho said. "If people don't think we deserved it, I don't care.

"I am a bit tired, we have a match on Tuesday. I don't care what people say. The boys are happy, I'm happy."

United are 13/20 to win, 3/1 to draw and 5/1 to lose to Sevilla on Tuesday.
