Klopp ready for crunch clash
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is looking forward to a tactical battle when his Reds side comes up against Manchester City on Sunday.
Klopp and City manager Pep Guardiola know each other well from their time at Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich respectively but the German is hoping he comes out on top this time.
City, who were knocked out of the Champions League by Monaco are Wednesday, are currently third in the Premier League table, one place and one point above Liverpool.
"These games are always important. I can't remember a game that was not important in the Premier League," Klopp said.
"We all know the quality of Manchester City. I thought the way they played against Monaco was quite impressive. City could have won the game easily but because they are human beings they are out.
"I am really looking forward to this, it's a real tactical challenge. It's an important moment in the season, but we know that it's possible to win."
Daniel Sturridge and Jordan Henderson remain sidelined for Liverpool but Klopp hopes Dejan Lovren, Roberto Firmino and Divock Origi will all be fit enough to feature on Sunday.
Liverpool are 29/10 to win the match and 1/10 to finish in the top four of the Premier League this season.
