Kane happy to prove doubters wrong
Tottenham striker Harry Kane says he is happy to prove his doubters wrong after showing he was not just a one-season wonder.
In a sensational breakthrough 2014-15 campaign, Kane managed to bag himself 31 goals and earned a place in the England set-up for Euro 2016.
Despite a slow start to the 2015-16 season, the Spurs ace ended up with 28 goals and finished as the Premier League's top goal scorer.
With 16 goals already this term, Kane has been pleased to show those who doubted his talents they were wrong and that he is able to keep producing at the highest level.
He told the Daily Telegraph: "Because I had come onto the scene so quick and I had started scoring early on, I think there was always going to be a time in my career when the goals were not happening so quickly and so fluently.
"I have always had a point to prove coming through the academy here and going on loan. I have always wanted to prove my ability and prove I'm capable of playing in the Premier League.
"I might have just been anticipating that. People might have been thinking that or saying that - 'can he do it again?' - so it was more just… I knew I was going to do it again, so it was about proving whoever doubted me wrong."
Spurs are 50/1 to win the Premier League title this season, while they are 1212/1 to win the FA Cup this term.
