Hughton hails in-form Murray
Brighton boss Chris Hughton is delighted that Glenn Murray has shown in the last few weeks that he can score goals in the Premier League.
The 34-year-old will become the first Seagulls player to score in four successive matches in the top-flight if he can find the net against Stoke City on Monday.
Murray is 7/4 to score at any time against the Potters.
Although the former Bournemouth and Crystal Palace striker has been a regular goalscorer in the Championship throughout his career, it had been thought that he could not repeat the trick in the Premier League.
However, he has refuted that theory in the last month, scoring a brace in the 3-0 win at West Ham before netting again in the 1-1 draw with Southampton and 1-0 victory at Swansea City.
"At this level, to bring in what you regard as a guaranteed goalscorer costs you a lot of money, but we know what we have in Glenn," said Hughton. "He's been very consistent, not just at this club but wherever he has been.
"As he gets older and more experienced, there are aspects you lose out on, but knowing where the goal is isn't one of them. He has that knack.
"We felt he would give us goals but at our level of club there has to be a contribution to the team as well and that has to come first."
Brighton, 11/4 to be relegated this season, can be backed at 7/5 to beat Stoke City and 13/8 to keep a clean sheet against Mark Hughes' inconsistent team.
