Eden Hazard has played down the chances of Chelsea winning the Premier League title, saying it is still very early in the season.
He was talking after Chelsea remained in contention at the top, courtesy of a comfortable 3-0 win away at struggling Southampton.
It's too early to be thinking about the title, we know it is tough to win. But it is good to be up there.Eden Hazard
The Blues remain unbeaten this season and goals from Hazard, Ross Barkley and Alvaro Morata sent them temporarily top of the league table with the top two Manchester City and Liverpool playing later.
Whatever the outcome of that game Chelsea enter the international break second in the table having made an impressive start to Maurizio Sarri's time in charge at Stamford Bridge.
At St Mary's it was the visitors who made the initial running and they were deservedly ahead after half an hour, Hazard collecting the ball from Barkley and slotting past Alex McCarthy in the Saints goal.
Barkley himself scored the second, his first league goal in over a year, from an Olivier Giroud pass and substitute Morata added a third in added time.
It left Hazard delighted with the result and the way they are playing, though he played down talk of his team winning another Premier League title.
He told Sky Sports after the game: "We are enjoying playing well and scoring goals. The first half was not so easy, they missed big chances and then we have had a bit of luck for our first goal, but we controlled the match in the second half.
"It's too early to be thinking about the title, we know it is tough to win. But it is good to be up there. We'll maybe watch Liverpool and Man City on the bus."
Chelsea now have two weeks off for the international break and their next match sees them seeking to preserve their unbeaten record at home to Manchester United.
They are 3/4 to win again with Jose Mourinho 4/1 to win away at his old club. The draw is 29/10.
Chelsea meanwhile are 4/1 to win the Europa League this season.
