Hart set for Hammers medical
England goalkeeper Joe Hart is set to have a medical at West Ham on Monday ahead of a season-long loan move to the Hammers.
Hart remains an unwanted piece of the jigsaw under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City and has been a target for West Ham boss Slaven Bilic for much of the summer.
Various reports suggest that West Ham will take Hart on an initial one-season loan with an option to buy the 30-year-old next summer.
Hart spent last season on loan with Serie A side Torino, having been deemed surplus to requirements at Manchester City following the arrival of manager Pep Guardiola.
The former Barcelona boss signed Claudio Bravo from his old club and made it clear that Hart was not in his plans, Guardiola seemingly determined to find a goalkeeper equipped to play the ball out from the back.
This summer Man City have added Brazilian Ederson to their goalkeeping ranks and Hart is again looking for a way out of the Etihad Stadium.
Bilic has already recruited veteran defender Pablo Zabaleta from Man City and he could now be reunited with a former teammate at the London Stadium.
Bilic last week said he would only be signing players that can go straight into his first team.
"What we want is to bring in the quality that is going to improve our first XI," said Bilic.
"We have Pablo Zabaleta and I am really expecting to add a couple more soon."
West Ham are 33/1 to finish in the top half of the Premier League next season while they are 11/1 to win their opening game away at Manchester United.
