Joe Hart says his time with Torino has been one of the greatest experiences of his life as he leaves the club to return to Manchester City.

The England goalkeeper has left Torino after a season in Serie A and his future is uncertain, especially as City, his parent club, seem intent on signing another top keeper this summer with Benfica's Ederson reportedly a target.

I am so proud to have played for your special football club.

However, Hart, who is in the England squad for the forthcoming games against Scotland and France, confirmed his exit from Torino, though he said it had been a memorable experience.

He sent a message to the club and its supporters on Instagram, saying: "Thank you Torino… I am so proud to have played for your special football club. The way you have treated me and my family is something that we will never forget.

"I will forever support Torino for the rest of my days. I have met so many special people and this has been one of the greatest experiences of my life.

"I will come back to see you all one day so it is bye for now, enjoy an amazing summer."

Hart joined the club last summer after being replaced by Claudio Bravo as City's first choice keeper under new boss Pep Guardiola.

He was in goal as Torino finished ninth in Serie A and head coach Sinisa Mihajlovic confirmed that, though they wanted to keep Hart, finances dictated he would return to City.

It promises to be a summer of big change at the Etihad Stadium with several notable departures already, namely Willy Caballero, Gael Clichy, Pablo Zabaleta, Jesus Navas and Bacary Sagna.

City are 1/80 to win the Premier League next season with Chelsea 80/1 to win the title for the second year in a row.

Guardiola's side are 1/5000 to finish in the top four.
