Dyche - Clarets can do even better

Burnley manager Sean Dyche is confident that there is still more to come from his team, who claimed a hard-fought 1-0 win at Southampton on Saturday.

A Sam Vokes header proved decisive at St Mary's as the Clarets maintained their position well inside the top half of the Premier League table.

We know where we're at and we still need more quality when we're going forwards.

And Dyche, who continues to be mentioned as a possible candidate to take over at Everton, is delighted with the way his side have performed so far this season, while also believing that improvements are possible in the months to come.

He told the club's official website: "We still know that we can be better with the ball, but we've found a way of operating that suits us and it's been two fantastic clean sheets this week.

"Two hard earned wins is probably where we are at at the moment. The margins are tight and you have to get on the right side of them.

"You have to be resolute in your defending and your shape - they are things that I take very seriously.

"We know where we're at and we still need more quality when we're going forwards, but we are willing to do the graft and we do that very well.

"I'm delighted to be where we are, but we know there are a lot more challenges coming our way and there's a belief in this group that we'll have to work hard for everything we get."

Burnley are currently priced at 6/4 to finish in the top half of the table come the end of the season, while they are 8/15 to end up in the bottom half of the Premier League standings.
