Draw leaves Klopp dissatisfied
Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp believes earning just one point from two games against Tottenham Hotspur is a hindrance to his side finishing in the top four this season.
The Reds drew 2-2 with Spurs at Anfield on Sunday in a game which finished in dramatic fashion.
We have to deliver, we have to get results.Jurgen Klopp
First the visitors missed a late penalty, before Mohamed Salah looked to have grabbed a late winner for the hosts, only for a second Spurs spot-kick to be converted by Harry Kane to ensure that the spoils were shared.
And, having been beaten 4-1 by the Londoners at Wembley earlier on in the campaign, Klopp accepts that his side had missed an opportunity to open up a five-point gap to their top-four rivals.
He told reporters: "We have to deliver, we have to get results. It was a home game, we lost the first one (at Wembley) and now Tottenham have four points from us and that feels not right.
"The first game they deserved it, today I think we deserved it, but that's how it is. Sometimes in life you need a little bit of help - if you don't get that then it's difficult."
The Reds remain in third place in the Premier League standings following the draw, with Spurs in fifth, just two points behind Liverpool and one back from Chelsea, who take on Watford on Monday evening.
